For four days, Madagasikara Voakajy and the Tropical Biology Association (TBA) co-organized a training workshop in Antananarivo on the ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) approach.

This is a major victory for conservation in Madagascar! According to the most recent assessments published by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) last March, two rare species from our unique biodiversity have just been reclassified on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. These are Calumma tarzan, a chameleon endemic to Madagascar, and Phelsuma pronki, a colorful gecko.

As part of the SEGA project (Scaling up Equity and Governance Area-Based), funded by the Darwin Initiative and led by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), Madagasikara Voakajy recently organized a workshop to present the results of the governance assessment of the Mangabe Protected Area.
