The Lake Tseny wetland, in Port-Bergé District, Sofia Region, northwestern of Madagascar extending to 641ha is a site of importance for fisheries resources.

 

 

This lake is home to a unique assemblage of fish that need to be protected in their habitat which is essential to endemic cichlids through the maintenance of a perennial commercial fishing.

Our objective is to promote the sustainable management of fisheries resources and the conservation of Paretroplus menarambo in its natural habitat for the benefit of the local population.
